Port Kembla home invasion: manhunt after 73-year-old woman attacked | Illawarra Mercury

A 73-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after being attacked during a home invasion in Port Kembla on Tuesday morning. Police were told a male stranger forced his way into the Fitzwilliam Street house just before 7am and assaulted the elderly woman, before turning on a male neighbour, aged in his 40s, who came to assist. A crime scene was established and detectives from Lake Illawarra Police District have commenced inquiries.
