De Belin deliberations to enter third day | Illawarra Mercury

A jury considering rape charges against NRL footballer Jack de Belin will return for a third day of deliberations. The St George Illawarra forward, 30, and his friend Callan Sinclair, 24, have both pleaded not guilty in the Sydney District Court to multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault. They say their December 2018 encounter with a then-19-year-old in a North Wollongong unit was consensual. The jury of 12 is expected to return on Wednesday to continue deliberating. No notes or questions have been sent to Judge Nicole Noman since the jury retired about 10.30am on Monday.
